How you can get involved.
Prayer Team: Prayer is the foundation of this entire ministry. The prayer team will meet at least once a month to strategically pray for the needs of the ministry and the women that we serve.
Life Skills Instructor: Work directly with women providing practical life skills training in a specific field of interest/expertise. This may include parenting skills, basic reading and writing, job readiness skills, social skills, etc.
Computer Instructor: Work directly with our neighbors teaching basic to intermediate computer skills.
Bible Study Teacher: Lead the women through a weekly Bible study.
Mentor: This position is for any Christian woman who feels called to walk along side one of our LifeSteps participants to provide love, support, and guidance. This 4-month commitment includes weekly meetings with your mentee.
Provide Meals: Provide lunch or snacks for the LifeSteps women. This can be a one time or on a weekly basis. This is a great ministry for a life group or Sunday school class.
Public Relations: Help promote the purpose and vision of MNO and LifeSteps through speaking engagements, media relations, and a newsletter.
Internship Development: Market LifeSteps program to community businesses, establish working relationships with businesses to develope an internship program for LifeSteps students.
Professional Services: Many of the women that Life Steps Training serves are in need of professional services that they cannot afford. These might include counseling, legal services, medical care, dental care, etc. Please let us know if you are able to provide these services as an in-kind donation to the ministry.
Administrative Assistant: This position entails answering phone, greeting visitors, providing/overseeing general office duties. This could be filled by mulitple volunteers as this requires a minimum of 20hrs per week. Bilingual required.
Volunteer Coordinator: This volunteer position will be responsible for coordinating volunteers for various special projects as well as those needed to assist with the daily running of the ministry . Hours vary, approximately 2-5hrs per week.
General Volunteers: These positions include assisting with classes and office support.
Neighbor to Neighbor relies heavily on volunteer support. If you are able to help in any way, please contact us. Our needs are not just limited to the volunteer positions listed above.
Additionally, your financial support is critical to not only the general operating expenses, but also to purchase supplies and equipment for ongoing programs and special projects.
